We were asked at Counter-Print a little while ago to submit a design for 'Fedrigoni 365'. The book is a project by design studio TM to commemorate the year 2018 by asking leading UK-based creatives to contribute a piece of work to a design compendium, which takes the form of the Fedrigoni annual Calendar. The result of this process is a striking black tome that holds 365 single-colour designs within. Each design was created as an interpretation of a date that was provided at random to each participant. Confines were established to challenge each designer’s creativity by restricting the book to one paper and one colour print, which forced their pieces to focus strictly on concept, shape and form. Notable figures and agencies included: Matt Willey, Cartlidge Levene, MuirMcNeil,
Fraser Muggeridge, Supermundane, Sara De Bont, StudioSmall, NB Studio, Nick Bell, Morag Myerscough, Anthony Burrill, Dalton Maag, A Practice For Everyday Life, FIELD, Koto, Shaz Madani, Why Not Associates, Mother Design, David Pearson, OPX, Construct, Bibliotheque and Pentagram – to name but a few of the 365!
